Basic website statistics

Vividforlife counts page views and approximate visitor countries to understand which pages are useful. These statistics are processed on our website’s own server. We do not load Google Analytics or send these statistics to an advertising or analytics provider.

This measurement uses no analytics cookies, browser fingerprints, visitor IDs or session IDs. It does not link a person’s visits or build individual browsing histories. Totals represent page views, not unique people.

What is processed

Your connection IP address is used briefly to estimate a country using a database already installed on our server. The statistics system then discards the address. It stores only the date, a recognised page path, a two-letter country code and an accumulated count. It does not store IP addresses, precise locations, browser details, referring websites, query strings, search terms, application reference numbers, form values or CVs.

Country estimates may be affected by VPNs, mobile networks and database accuracy. Unknown locations are counted as Unknown. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind.

Purpose and retention

We process these limited statistics to improve the website, relying on our legitimate interest in understanding its use. The reports are private. Daily totals are retained for up to 365 days and older totals are removed during statistics maintenance.

Our hosting provider also handles connection information and ordinary server logs to deliver and secure the website. Those operational logs are separate from these aggregate statistics.

Your browser preference

You can exclude this browser from future statistics. The exclusion uses a local browser preference solely to remember your choice. We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Exclusion does not affect access to the website or your ability to apply.
